Taiwanese weirdness
I shot this with my little Sony digital camera last Sunday from my apartment balcony. I think it had something to do with the celebration of the god Matsu, but I'm not at all sure. Strangeness indeed...
Yeah, I guess it's the celebration of Mazu's birth. This group of people is kind of like the pilgrimage mission in the west... (It's called "Jin Xiang Tuan" in Mandarin.) Frankly, I've never had a liking for these celebrations. They're just unreasonably noisy and always obstruct the road... Plus, these people seem so superstitious to me... Hope you weren't annoyed.:)
